Health  and  Safety

The Health and Safety at Work 2015 applies to employees and contractors, and requires that workers and others in the workplace are protected from workplace health and safety risks so far as is reasonably practicable.

This includes risks to both physical and mental health.

The Act also introduces a new term, a “Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking” (PCBU), which includes employers, the self-employed, principals to contracts, manufacturers, designers and so on, who have the primary health and safety duties.
